Founder
Arnaldo Bomnin
Founder and Dealer Principal, Bomnin Automotive Group
A family-owned automotive group that started with one dealership in Miami in 2010, and grew with the people who joined along the way.
His story
He started out caring for people. He never stopped.
A doctor first
Before he ever sold a car, Arnaldo was a medical doctor in Cuba.
He spent years studying and training to care for patients, and medicine was the life he had built. Caring for people, listening first, and earning trust would stay with him for the rest of his career.
Starting from zero
In 1996, he left it all behind. He said goodbye to his family and his career and came to the United States with a gold watch, three rings, and a dream. He didn't speak English yet, and there was no guarantee of what came next.
Like so many families in South Florida, he chose to begin again. He learned English while working hard at whatever jobs he could find, determined to build a new life.
One bold question
One day, Arnaldo walked into a Miami dealership and asked for a chance to work as a technician. The general manager saw something in him and put him on the sales floor instead. He shined from the very beginning.
He has never forgotten that someone took a chance on him, and it is why giving others the same chance matters so much at Bomnin today.
Family first
Then came the hardest decision of all. Arnaldo could return to medicine and work toward becoming a doctor in the United States, or stay in the car business. He chose his family. Selling cars meant he could bring them to the United States sooner, so he set out to earn a different kind of doctorate, in the automotive industry.
Learning the business from the ground up
He grew from sales consultant to Sales Manager in 2000, General Sales Manager in 2005, and General Manager in 2007, guided by mentors and teammates who believed in him.
Building a family of dealerships
In 2010, in the middle of the Great Recession, Arnaldo acquired his first dealership with a team of 49 associates. Year after year, new stores and new brands joined the family, and through the challenges of COVID-19 the focus stayed on keeping every associate's job stable and secure.
Today, Bomnin is 10 dealerships and 17 franchises across South Florida, Northern Virginia, and New York, with more than 965 associates. The title changed, but the heart of the work didn't. Listening, earning trust, and looking after people are still how Bomnin works today.
In his own words
The lessons he lives by
It all starts with an idea. The idea becomes an objective that can only be achieved with perseverance and consistency.
You don't build a good company with bad people. You need good people to build a good company.
If you place money before excellence, you will spend the rest of your life chasing money. Walk life meaningfully and money will chase you.
It's easy to reach success. The challenge is to remain successful.
When great minds come together, great things are accomplished.

Built by a team
Every milestone belongs to the associates
Arnaldo is the first to say that none of this happened alone. Every recognition Bomnin has earned belongs to the associates who show up for Bomnin customers every day: the technicians, the sales teams, the service advisors, the office teams, and everyone in between.
When the trophies come home, the whole team celebrates together.
“A leader could have a great vision, but without a great team it could never be accomplished.”Arnaldo Bomnin
What he believes
The principles behind Bomnin
People first
A doctor first learns to care for people. Arnaldo brought that to Bomnin: take care of your people, and they will take care of your customers.
Opportunity for everyone
Promoting from within is one of the things Bomnin is proudest of. The person who starts at Bomnin today could be leading a department tomorrow.
Give back
Giving back is in Bomnin's DNA. Helping neighbors in need is how the whole Bomnin family says thank you.
Giving back
Honoring the community that welcomed him
This community welcomed Arnaldo when he arrived with very little. Giving back is how he, his family, and every Bomnin associate say thank you.
Feeding families
Every Thanksgiving season, Bomnin teams hand out 1,000 turkeys to local families, and Arnaldo is right there with them, handing them out himself.
Training tomorrow's technicians
Bomnin runs two technical schools, one in Homestead and one in Doral, and both are at full capacity. Students there learn the skills for a career as an automotive technician.
Standing with families
Together with his family, Arnaldo supports local charities, families in need, and the fight against pediatric cancer.
The Bomnin Family Endowed Business Scholarship
